AKICON 2009 - Are we having fun yet?

It was a dark and rainy night….. Day….. Life....on with the story?Er... no, no story. Just bitchn'!

We are at Akicon. Not the most exciting con I’ve done. The trip here was eventful. We drove off without the cosplay stuff which we remembered only 3 miles away, forgot a few items like the daughter’s phone charger. It happens every now and then, we just aren’t tuned for a Convention. This was one.

The weather could have been better, rain and wind makes the ferry rock too much for my stomach. This made Amber come up with ferries sinking in 3rd world countries.

We got here around 8pm, the room I requested at 10am wasn’t what I got. Fine. Not happy about that. The covered parking area which is nice when the weather sucks, was converted to the Dealers’, Artist Alley and gaming area. Haven’t been down there yet.

I have not spotted a program of any sorts laying around. I wasn’t handed one with my pre-reg badge this morning. I was going to look online but the free WIFI in my room sucks. Can’t connect. I’ll drag the netbook out to see if I can find a better place.

The doll meet-up is at 1pm and 8pm today. Hope to get some nice pics then. As you can see from the ‘best-I-could-do-without-some sun-outside’ obligatory silhouette window con image I only brought Dio, Yin, Sho and Osa this time.

I need better images of the two dudes carrying the YAOI flags. Too funny. I have to find some fun around here somewhere, damn it!

Yes, small world :D I'm into BJD's for a year or so, just this month my mother's got her female doll and now I'm waiting for my male one! I share this hobby with my mother, as we live together. I can enjoy her BJD and she'll enjoy mine too.
