The day is lovely for late August. Sunshine and mild temperatures have brought people outdoors. A little one in the tree hears a voice.

This small figure hears the deep soothing voice of a monk,

“Today is the lesson on the 5 Precepts
1. Do not kill
2. Do not steal
3. Do not indulge in sexual misconduct
4. Do not make false speech
5. Do not take intoxicants

We will begin with the first, do not kill……………”

The young man of the group held up the number ‘3’ with his fingers and rolled his eyes. The 3 girls giggled.
